  • Buttercup Cottage Bakery operates from a commercial bakery in St. Joseph, Missouri. Our bakery space is used for production and order pickup.

    The pickup shelf is located at the front of the bakery by the window for convenient customer access.

    The exact pickup address and instructions will be provided when you place your order.

  • All orders are placed through our online ordering system Square.

    There you can browse the full menu, select your items, choose your pickup location, and schedule your pickup date.

    Orders close Friday at 11:59 PM each week.

    Because everything is made fresh to order:

    • Active sourdough breads require 48 hours before pickup
    • All other bakery items require 24 hours before pickup

  • We accept credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, Cash App, and cash. Payment is required at the time of ordering to reserve your items. Payments are processed through our online ordering platform.

  • Customers can select their preferred pickup location during checkout.

    Available pickup locations include:

    • Buttercup Cottage Bakery pickup shop
    • Mosaic Hospital – SPA Desk
    • Moony’s Coffee Shop

    If you select pickup at the bakery, your order will be placed on the rolling pickup shelf located at the front window of the bakery during your pickup window.

    Orders will be labeled with the customer name for easy pickup.

  • Yes, we offer delivery within St. Joseph and surrounding areas. Delivery fees may apply for locations outside of St. Joseph and are determined based on distance.

  • Our sourdough breads typically stay fresh for up to one week when kept in the bread bags they are packaged in. For longer storage, freezing instructions are included on the instruction sticker located on the back of each bag.
